We believe that the home brewing community in New Brunswick is among the best out there, and we want to support it and help it grow.

Our commitment is to only carry the highest quality products that we are proud to sell, while gathering feedback from the community about what they would like to see on our virtual shelves. We are here for you guys, so if you want something just ask and we will see if we can get it!

Meet the Crew

 

Derek has been homebrewing for over ten years and is the brains behind our product mix, & recipe designs. Originally from Ontario, Derek moved to New Brunswick a number of years back and now resides in Saint John. As a level 1 Cicerone, he is always happy to help with recipe advice or general beer style knowledge. Proud of his Polish heritage, Derek often brews traditional farmhouse & strong ale styles from that region of Europe. Derek was the primary designer of our Homeboy Vienna Lager in collaboration with Picaroons in the Spring of 2021.

Christian is still fairly new to the homebrewing scene after picking it up a few years back while joining Derek on a separate business venture. His is a lifelong Saint John resident with a career in sales & sales management spanning almost 20 years. With more than a passing interest in marketing, Christian's focus is spent on The Shop's website & social media accounts. Balancing Derek's interest in traditional styles, Christian enjoys brewing East & West Coast IPAs, and experimenting with adjuncts like Peanut Butter or Chocolate.
