Hand foraged spruce tips. Great addition to most styles of beer such as pale ales, IPAs, saisons, lagers and historically used in Canada before the introduction of hops.
Increases pine and citrus flavours in beer and adds bitterness. Also great in tea, kombucha, salads, for flavouring meats or for use with sugar in desserts - especially ice cream, or anything citrusy. High in Vitamin C.
Depending on time of purchase they will be fresh or frozen. Only available fresh in the spring, 1 week following harvest.
Best results in beer come from whirlpool additions or later in the boil.
